Future MD CanadaAn online tool developed collaboratively by Canada’s medical education partners to assist with career planning. It contains timely, accurate and descriptive data about many aspects of physician education, training and entry into practice, including answers to some of the most frequently asked questions raised by people considering a career as a physician in Canada.

Canadian Specialty Profiles 

Provided by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). Information about practice setting, income and satisfaction levels for 35 Canadian medical specialties. 

National Physician Survey

Canada's most comprehensive survey of physicians, residents and medical students, conducted every three years. Provides a picture of the many different roles doctors hold in the medical profession and identifies some of the professional and personal issues and interests of its members. 

Canadian Resident Matching Services (CaRMS)

A not-for-profit, fee-for-service organization that provides a computer platform to match medical graduates with postgraduate medical programs (residencies) across Canada.

The Match Book

Annual publication of Canadian Federation of Medical Students  (CFMS) that helps students understand the Canadian medical residency match process. 

Careers in Medicine (CiM) 

An online career planning program for medical students. Developed by the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) in collaboration with medical schools, the site contains valuable resources to help medical students make good career decisions. All University of Toronto medical students receive an access code in first year.
